FYI - I'm getting lots of crashes now, and none of them show a
fatal-error Emacs dialog box, and none of them produce an
emacs_backtrace.txt file. They all go directly to the MS Windows dialog box
asking if I want to send a report to MS.

What choices does that dialog show, and which one do you select? I'm
quite sure at least one of them should be able to produce
emacs_backtrace.txt.

Just the usual: send report to MS or do not send.

And no "Debug" etc.?

Which one of the possibilities did you select?

Either. Doesn't matter whether I use send or do not send.

FWIW, I was wrong in supposing that I see only such crashes, without the Emacs
fatal-error dialog box. I just got a crash with that d. box. Will report that
one separately.

And if you try to attach GDB to the Emacs process before clicking any
of these, can you produce a backtrace (within GDB) then?

I gave up with GDB. You told me that my GDB was out of date and the info I sent
using it is useless.

I will be glad to report crashes that occur and send emacs_backtrace.txt files,
if that is useful. And I will report Lisp backtraces from errors.

Can't do anything with this.
