Yes.

RMS might say, "Take a user poll".  I doubt that
will happen.  If the price to pay, to get this
fixed, is for Juri to add an option that lets
users choose the behavior, so be it.

The bug is minor, IMHO.  And so is the fix.
And so is the disagreement about which behavior
is more natural or more useful.
