> I think we can close it. What is being discussed is how to recover the optimization that had to be significantly weakened to fix this patch, but it was a new optimization in Emacs-29, so it's not urgent nor a bug fix.
Would you confirm that bug#61514 remains 'fixed' for practical purposes? I ran a few of the cases in that bug and it seems that we have them still covered, but I may have missed something.
