Date: Sun, 29 May 2005 18:14:10 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <5BA011C7-72F3-4252-B088-E9805B045E53__44266.6492927403$1270787354$gmane$org@lostinparadise.net> (raw)
This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation, not to
your local site managers! Please write in English if possible,
because the Emacs maintainers usually do not have translators to read
other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org
mailing list.
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the
precise symptoms of the bug:
Open a vhdl file. (t.vhd) blank is best to get started.
type 'entity<space>' to get the wizard for an entry.
Type in a name for the entity as in 't', then hit return.
It should type out "GENERIC" and prompt for a name, type anything in
for the name, I used 'j'.
It will now as for a type: as before type anything in for a type, I
used 'k'.
It will now as for a value: type in something like '0';
Type anything in for the comment: "Bla"
It will now as for a name again, just hit <return>
It displays "Loading tabify...done", then just goes off.
Now, on some version I get "Loading warnings (compiled; note, source
file is newer)...done", and she locks up. (AquaEmacs).
Now, under a straight emacs carbon compile, (From apples site). I get:
Buffer t.vhd undo info is 3125610 bytes long; discard it? (yes or
no), "yes"
(Indenting 300%)
Buffer t.vhd ................
(indenting 400%)
[This repeats..]
Then it breaks out of the
It finally ends, and then I get a 125169 byte file, with a lot of
spaces.
MacOSX 10.4 comes with a command line version, of emacs 21.2.1 and it
does not have
any problems.
