Hi,
Sorry, I can't help concerning the bug report, but I'd just like to
point out that your email is in HTML. Unfortuently none of us have
HTML renderers in our brain, so it's slightly difficult to decipher. ;)
For context, my email client, and probably a lot of others on this
list, doesn't support HTML rendering.
Just like to point this out, sorry for the interruption. :)

I haven't tried this using desktop, but when I just open a file in a CVS
repo normally, Emacs doesn't use the network. Or even call the cvs
command, usually.
What's the value of vc-stay-local in your Emacs?
P.S. Like suggested before me, please use text in your messages here
rather than HTML.
