Hi,
on GNU Emacs 24.3.1
It seems that, whenever package.el installed some packages, the history
(last couple of visited files) is spammed with files opened during the
installation process. I believe this is not desired. The history
function should be turned off just before performing installations and
turned on after finishing the installation procedure.

Greetings

Torsten

Thanks for the report. I believe this is a duplicate of

http://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=17155

so is already fixed for the next release. To check, try

http://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/pretest/emacs-24.3.91.tar.xz
