And what about using GCC ... sanitizers? gcc -fsanitize=address should work on the trunk, if you configure with something like "./configure CFLAGS='-g3 -Og -fsanitize=address' CANNOT_DUMP=yes" (assuming recent-enough GCC). Like valgrind, it doesn't work with a dumped Emacs.
