Very few people customize blink cursor, double click time, icon sizes, tooltip timeout and the other GTK settings (most which actually are GConf and/or GSettings, not GTK settings). I suspect most people don't even notice that double click time is different in Emacs and Gtk+ applications. So it hasn't been a high priority to follow all external settings. Just the most visible ones (font, dpi, and highlight) have been done. Patches welcome of course. Jan D.
