Thanks, I put in the following slightly-more-conservative patch as bzr 105618,
as I'm not sure what would work with non-GNU Linux ports.

* configure.in (opsys): Add pattern *-gnu-linux*
to recognize powerpc-gnu-linux-uclibc (Bug#9403).
