I would like `C-x C-f *.el RET' to behave like `C-x d *.el RET', so I
set find-file-wildcards to nil and leave find-file-run-dired set to its
default (t). But that doesn't do what I want, because the 2 options
don't interact: find-file-noselect does not consult find-file-run-dired
for a wildcard FILENAME (only for a directory FILENAME), even though
dired accepts a wildcard DIRNAME.
