* 21.1: enriched mode fails to nest attributes (wrong type argument)

What I did was:

1) Start in fundamental-mode, enriched. Enter "foobar"
2) Mark "ooba", set foreground to green
3) Mark "ob", set foreground to red
4) Try to save; it won't work (error message seen below)

enriched-face-ans: Wrong type argument: symbolp, (fg:red)

So Emacs should either handle it, or not allow it...

I think this is fixed in Emacs 21.2.  At least I couldn't reproduce
the problem there.  Could you please try the latest version?
