Subject: bug#22411: 24.5; Doc string of `isearch-search-fun-function'
Date: Tue, 19 Jan 2016 13:07:55 -0800 (PST) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <31c70a34-1349-4cfd-86c5-07bebd467f2c@default> (raw)
From the doc string:
This returned function will be used by `isearch-search-string' to
search for the first occurrence of STRING or its translation.
What "translation"? What is this about? How are users supposed to make
sense of this, to use this variable?
In GNU Emacs 24.5.1 (i686-pc-mingw32)
of 2015-04-11 on LEG570
Windowing system distributor `Microsoft Corp.', version 6.1.7601
Configured using:
`configure --prefix=/c/usr --host=i686-pc-mingw32'
