If one is inside parens in

   while () {
   }

and types
  <
, would this lead to the abnormal behaviour?


If yes, then would typing M-x expand-abbrev (instead of "<") lead to
the same abnormal behaviour?  (Then it is, IMO, a bug in expansion
logic...)
