Hi,
there is a bug report in the Debian bug tracking system about emacs,
which might interest you:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=381452
During build, "temacs" is run, which instantly segfaults since Debian
has upgraded to binutils 2.17.
At the bottom of the bug report, you will find my analysis, and a
workaround. Is there an "official" fix for this problem?
