Subject: Undocumented emacs version ?
Date: Thu, 17 Feb 2005 01:03:19 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20050217060319.GA1149@bedhost.bedhost.jdcnet.bogus> (raw)
http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/emacs.html states in part :
Latest stable release: 21.3 (March 24, 2003)
but ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/ has a 21.4 version
Is the version stated on the webpage outdated or is 21.4 a development
version ?
If outdated - then update webpage please.
If development - include 'alpha/beta/unstable' in 21.4's package name
please. Or note on webpage though that would double the workload.
You need a README file in the ftp directory. Partly to explain
what .xdelta and .diff files are. Used with program : 'patch' ?
I read elib.README which explained what elib is. But there isn't one
for leim.
My 2 cents.
