This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.
In GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (sparc-sun-solaris2.8, X toolkit)
of Tue Aug 29 2000 on steel
configured using `configure --prefix=/opt/sfw'
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
Hi,
I got a strange behavior when using speedbar from gud buffer: the
frame list displayed in speedbar is not complete; worse, it is
constantly changing if i force the udpate of speedbar (i go to another
window, wait for speedbar update, then go back to gud window) while
when i manually use the backtrace command in gud buffer all is fine
and deterministic:
(gdb) backtrace
#0 0xff109a04 in __sigprocmask () from /usr/lib/libthread.so.1
#1 0xff0fe460 in _resetsig () from /usr/lib/libthread.so.1
#2 0xff0fdc00 in _sigon () from /usr/lib/libthread.so.1
#3 0xff100c14 in _thrp_kill () from /usr/lib/libthread.so.1
#4 0xff1cb198 in raise () from /usr/lib/libc.so.1
#5 0xff1b57c4 in abort () from /usr/lib/libc.so.1
#6 0xb38c8 in autotest_regcases () at regcases.c:239
#7 0xa19e8 in autotest_thread (arg=0x0) at cr_ip6task.c:2557
In speedbar, sometimes i see only some of the first frames say 1,2,3,
or 1,2,3,4; sometimes i see them all, sometimes i see only the upper
ones say 6,7, etc.
It seems like there is something evil in the gud is gathering output
of gdb process.
Any idea of what is going on?
Thanks for any help,
Thierry.

20.7 is so old that there is a good chance the bug has been fixed
already. The first thing to do is try this in Emacs 21, or even
better, in the current development Emacs sources from CVS on
savannah.gnu.org.
