This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
In polish-slash input method the character '/' is used to
introduce polish diacritics. Currently the only way to input the
character '/' itself is to press `ctrl+q /' -- this is not
intuitive. More logical way to proceed is to press slash
twice '//'. So I propose to add the following line to
--- latin-pre.el-------------------------------------------------
(quail-define-package
"polish-slash" "Polish" "PL>" nil
"Polish diacritics in Latin-2 encoding are input as `/[acelnosxzACELNOSXZ]'.
For example, the character named `aogonek' is obtained by `/a'."
nil t t t nil nil nil nil nil nil t)
(quail-define-rules
("//" ?/ ;;; NEW LINE

The input method works with other encodings too. So, it is also
necessary to change the documentation string above
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"Polish diacritics and slash character are input as `/[acelnosxzACELNOSXZ/]'.
For example, the character named `aogonek' is obtained by `/a'."

Thank you for the good suggestion. I installed that change
in HEAD.
