I believe there is a bug in emacs for setting the bckground
and foreground color. I run Emacs on a laptop with Mandrke
9.0. I can change the colors once Emacs is opened: M-x
set-background-color, etc. but the commnd line options -fg and
-bg do not work:
emacs -fg gray60 -bg black filename &
opens emacs as if the options were not put in. Could you please check
if this is a bug or if I'm just doing something wrong.
I can not reproduce this. Maybe you override these values in your
.emacs. What happens if you run
emacs -q -fg gray60 -bg black filename &
Sincerely,
Luc.
