Subject: Perl modules and man don't get along
Date: Wed, 22 May 2002 16:52:01 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <200205222352.g4MNq1P1007675@abu.pricegrabber.com> (raw)

This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

This isn't really a bug so much as a feature request. Essentially, the
problem is that in Perl mode, it would be nice if whatever parser was
around could automatically figure out that "::" is part of a name for
the purposes of doing a man lookup. That is, if I'm hovering over a
Perl-style man page, it would be useful man would understand it
properly.
