Subject line says it all.  And it's a WARNING, no less (should never
have been a warning).

     *Warning:* if you redefine a function after using `debug-on-entry'
     on it, the code to enter the debugger is discarded by the
     redefinition.  In effect, redefining the function cancels the
     break-on-entry feature for that function.

This feature was intentionally removed in Emacs 24.  Invoking the
function  still opens the debugger, even after you redefine the
function, until you use `cancel-debug-on-entry' for it.
