Subject: mouse pointer `emacs busy' and keyboard macros
Date: Fri, 5 Apr 2002 12:37:45 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <15533.32377.23766.245562@tfkp00.physik.uni-erlangen.de> (raw)
In GNU Emacs 21.1.1 (i386-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2002-02-01 on tfkp12
configured using `configure --prefix=/nfs/common --libexecdir=/nfs/common/lib --bindir=/nfs/common/lib/emacs/21.1/bin/i686-Linux --mandir=/nfs/common/share/man --infodir=/nfs/common/share/info --with-gcc --with-pop --with-x --with-x-toolkit=athena i386-pc-linux'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
I like the new feature in emacs 21.1 that the mouse pointer has a
special shape when emacs is busy. However, when I execute a keyboard
macro multiple times by using an appropriate value for
universal-argument, then emacs can busy for quite a while (my
particular example was about half a minute with universal-argument
having the value 200) but the mouse pointer keeps its normal shape.
