For whatever reason, it truncated "kbr" when pasting into Emacs. Been using Emacs Console for years (inside Screen). I often copy/paste into emacs buffer. If I open emacs editor with: Emacs test.pl Then I paste the following text into the emacs console window: eWRvbWFpbjCBnzANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQEFAAOBjQAwgYkCgYEAyZkbrbuq7a4Z1Ato Only the following gets pasted: eWRvbWFpbjCBnzANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQEFAAOBjQAwgYkCgYEAyZbuq7a4Z1Ato I have tested this on emacs in Redhat 9, all the way up to emacs running on CentOS 5.6 The same will happen with this text: YEAyZkbrbuq7a4Z1Ato The "kbr" gets truncated. I've looked for control characters, etc, but have found nothing. Here is a block from Microsoft Notepad: VQQDEw9Gb3J0LUZ1bnN0b24gQ0ExITAfBgkqhkiG9w0BCQEWEm1lQG15aG9zdC5t eWRvbWFpbjCBnzANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQEFAAOBjQAwgYkCgYEAyZkbrbuq7a4Z1Ato iPETp5Ds6OJWwsCGX5LK6FzDj7e8vA298OiXolOME2I9p7LvXtwUfFSCJH+VGWNE If you paste that into emacs, the middle line is truncated. I do not even see how this is possible. Anyway, I thought I would let you know, I've definitely stumbled across something very very strange. Thanks for such an awesome editor, compiler, does-everything-I could ever need program,,, Damian Kohlfeld
